본문 After WWⅡ: Miraculous development of Japan by trade policy Junichi Goto of Kobe University noticed that Japan's economic development after WWⅡ is due to its favorable trade policy. At that time Japan had export incentive under import restriction and various support programs for exports such as export-promoting tax system: a) special deduction of export income, b) import tariff refund. Foreign exchange policy also contributed to the expansion of Japanese exports at least until 1971, because Japanese yen was generally undervalued in the 1960s. When yen was undervalued, the dollar price of Japanese products is cheaper to consumers in the importing country than otherwise.
